Client Profile
As one of Queensland's most successful independent hospitality groups, this operator owns and manages an impressive array of venues, restaurants and accommodation sites. The venues boast their own unique individuality, and are institutions in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. 

Job Description
Working closely with the Directors, Group General Manager and venue operations teams, this role will be responsible for the following:
  • Driving functions, event and reservation activity to their range of venues in Brisbane. These are predominantly food, beverage and entertainment venues, with extensive spaces for events.
  • The role is responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial client relationships, actively seeking to drive growth of the business across all markets, maximise conversions and increase brand penetration.
  • Promoting function and event spaces through a wide range of channels including on-site sales calls, site visits, events, telephone, and written communication
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to venue management teams, employees, suppliers, industry leaders and peers. You will have event operation managers in each venue reporting to you
  • Management of function software platforms
  • Completing administrative tasks as required, including invoicing and processing client payments
  • There is an accommodation arm to the business. You will also oversee the management of the existing reservations platform, offering guidance where needed
Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role you will have:
  • 2 years experience in senior function and event sales role
  • Experience in hospitality is essential, whether it be hotel, bar, event space, nightclub, or similar.
  • A confident, vibrant and empathetic personality
  • The ability to motivate and lead your team
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying and generating sales that lead to business development opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • The ability to work both in a team and autonomously
  • A love of the hospitality industry, customer service and events
  • Enthusiastic approach to meeting agreed KPIs and event sales targets
